Victory Solutions CEO Kris McGuire attended the unveiling of ASTM International’s Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence at Auburn University on July 23, 2018. The unveiling announced ASTM’s partnerships with Auburn University, NASA applied technology developer EWI and the U.K. based Manufacturing Technology Centre. This center, at the ground-floor of additive manufacturing development in the state of Alabama, has great potential to influence industries world-wide. The broad application of additive manufacturing and the industrial footprint of 3D printing is expanding every day in a variety of industries. Through the use of new ASTM testing standards, a rigorous and repeatable method of validating the performance of components in history assemblies can be achieved. As an initial supporter of this endeavor, Victory Solutions hopes to help Auburn collaborate with ASTM’s new center to fill gaps in technical standards that industry needs to best apply additive manufacturing to aerospace, auto and medical industries.
